You may have already seen YouTube ’s email about Content ID. This system balances the interests of people uploading videos with rights holders whose content might be included in them. They mentioned some new tools available to help you with claims. Here are the key points:

As noted in the letter, while they slowed the roll-out to address creator concerns, they are continuing to roll out Content ID on new uploads by channels just like yours, expanding gradually to all videos.
If you have a music match/dispute, then you will have even more ways to remedy this with YouTube ’s improved song erase and audio swapping tools. You can also swap in music from our music library! Just sign into Awesomeness.TV and check it out.
YouTube is working with rights holders to ensure that they ’re claiming only what they intend to through Content ID. Please remember: usage policies differ with each right holder. For example, game publishers might not control the rights to music used in their games.
