Welcome Turk Hack Team family, today I will introduce you Buscador Linux Distribution. I will shortly talk about what it is, then I will explain its setup, however I will explain the tool usages in the Part 2.

What is Buscador?

Buscador is a one-to-one linux distribution for open source intelligence. It includes software that is used for many open source intelligence.
Buscador is an Ubuntu-based distribution. Just because I said there are intelligence tools, do not think it is difficult to use, they have a one-to-one interface and tools for daily use:trl.

and much more. Let's move on to the setup now.



First of all, we go to Buscador's site from the link I gave below and you download the appropriate file from the section I marked with black.



Then click the downloaded file for 2 times.



After clicking, open it through VMware.



VMware opens and asks us where to install, I install without any changes and say "Import".



After a few minutes saying import, the installation will be completed.



The installation has completed.



From here, we click on the "Power on this virtual machine" option.



And the Buscador is starting to open. When it opens, we see a screen like this. We click for once.



He wants us to enter a password. Here, you should write Kod:
osint


And our setup is completed here.




Now let's move on to the screen settings.

Firstly, let's get into the settings from where I showed you



From here we click on the "Displays" section.



Here, we click where I've shown you.



Here, we select the appropriate setting for you and click on the "apply" part.







Now we will figure out update and upgrade settings.

First of all, we open the terminal.



Then we write Kod:
sudo apt-get upgrade
here.



It'll ask us for a password, write Kod:
osint
again.



After, we type Kod:
y
.



and our process is over. We write Kod:
sudo apt-get update
later.



And the process is over.




Now we will do the necessary settings to share files between our host and virtual machine.


First of all, We click on the "Install VMware Tools." section from the place I showed you.



After clicking it, a CD-shaped file will be created on our desktop.



We enter the file with the CD icon and right click on the file.



Click on the "Extract to .." section.



We put it in "Desktop".



We open the terminal and write Kod:
cd Desktop
.



Write Kod:
ls
and we press the TAB key on thekeyboard after writing Kod:
cd VM
.



Then we type Kod:
cd vm
and press TAB again.



After that we write Kod:
sudo ./vmware-install.pl
and press "Enter".



It will ask for a password. We type "osint" again.



It will ask you a lot of questions and press the "Enter" key in all of them.



When the installation is done, we click on the "Settings" section from the place I showed.



We click on the "Always Enabled" option. To transfer files from our host machine to our virtual machine, you can click the "Add" section and add the file you want.
